 Breaking: Supreme Court Orders 'The state of affairs', Halts Karnataka Govt's Move To Allow Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations At Idgah Maidan In Bengaluru's Chamarajpet

The seat orally said that the pooja be held elsewhere.

The request passed by the seat expressed as follows :—

"The writ appeal is forthcoming before the Single Bench of High Court and has been fixed for hearing on 23.09.2022. All inquiries/issues might be disturbed in the High Court.

In the in the mean time, the state of affairs, as of date, as to the land being referred to will be kept up with by both the gatherings. The extraordinary leave petitions are, appropriately, discarded"

The matter was heard by a 3-Judge following "distinction of assessment" between the list seat involving Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia.

The seat was comprised after Senior Advocate Dushyant Dave showing up for the Idgah made a critical referencing before CJI UU Lalit, expressing that on the off chance that the matter isn't heard today, the norm of 200 years will be upset.

Dave presented that under Section 3 of the Places of Worship Act, there is a flat out bar against transformation of purpose of strict land for some other religion.
